Find the flowers!

To help you explore the meadow, we have created a flower-spotting guide that you can download for free and print out, or carry round on your phone. It has a small selection of the 83 species present in the meadow to help get you started with wildflower identification.

The meadow isn't the only place on Clifton Hill with flowers. The pavements and walls surrounding it are filled with plants, all finding their niche in the cityscape. Many of these grow all over Bristol, and we have made a second pavement wildflower guide to help you identify some of those that you may find growing near you. Often dismissed as weeds, when they are out in bloom, it's amazing what you can find when you start looking.
