Stop those draughts

It's moving things and heating things that tend to use up a lot of energy and make a big contribution to our carbon footprints. In the UK, heating our homes emits an average 2.7 tonnes of carbon, so insulation and energy efficiency are well worth tackling.

In Bristol, the C.H.E.E.S.E. Project offers thermal imaging surveys to help you detect exactly where your home is leaking heat. The results may surprise you - and most of the draughts can be very cheap to fix.
